Known for their intense and poetic collaborative work, composer/saxophonist Ross Feller and choreographer/performer Kora Radella present an evening of new work at Roulette which includes world premiere compositions played by the violin duo String Noise, pianist Adam Tendler, and a saxophone quartet comprised of Johnny Butler, Caroline Davis, Matt Nelson, and Feller. In the same evening of performance, the NYC premieres of the solo Sequinza, danced by Tim Bendernagel, will be met full-force by the duet Force Majeure performed by Pauline Kim Harris of String Noise, and Tendler. Wrest will be danced by Anna Pinault with an electronic score, and an excerpt of the evening-length tour de force, Reckoning, will be performed in this NYC premiere by Chris Seibert and Radella. The evening will be further brightened by improvisations by the Snow Trio consisting of Nick Didkovsky, Michael Lytle, and Feller.
Ross Feller is a composer, saxophonist, improviser, and educator. He has developed a unique musical vocabulary that features raw, ecstatic layers of material that percolate with refined, virtuosic gestures, often integrated with performance gestures. He co-founded the Chicago-based, avant-garde, jazz-rock ensemble Dot Dot Dot, and later, Double-Edge Dance with choreographer Kora Radella. Feller’s awards and honors include the Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award for Composition, ASCAP Young Composer’s Competition, Gaudeamus Foundation International Composer’s Competition, and Bent Frequency’s International Call for Scores. He has received commissions and performances by ensembles including the Oberlin Conservatory Contemporary Music Ensemble, Oberlin Percussion Group, Prism Saxophone Quartet, Aurelia Saxophone Quartet, Goliard Ensemble, Ensemble Luna Nova, International Contemporary Ensemble (ICE), Kenyon College Symphonic Wind Ensemble, members of the Cleveland Orchestra and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and performers such as saxophonist Taimur Sullivan, trumpeters Peter Evans and Stephanie Richards, trombonist Steven Parker, violinist Dorothy Martirano, ‘cellists Franklin Cox and Craig Hultgren, double bassist Michael Cameron, guitarist Nick Didkovsky, and pianists Cory Smythe and Adam Tendler. Feller’s work has been performed throughout the U.S.A. and in Europe. Recordings of his music are available on New Dynamic Records, Athena Records, and UIUC Experimental Music Studios. Kora Radella is a choreographer, movement teacher, performer, and artist. Radella’s choreography, including her work with BOOMERANG and Double-Edge Dance, has been performed in NYC at venues including 92Y, CPR Danspace Project, Dixon Place, Judson Church, Pioneer Works, and Roulette and in other locations nationally including the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago, Pulse Art Fair in Miami, Art Prize in Grand Rapids, the Three River Arts Festival in Pittsburgh, and Cleveland Public Theatre and internationally at Berliner Festspiele in Berlin and Arts Arena in Paris at the invitation of renowned theater director Robert Wilson, as well as in Amsterdam, Barcelona, Basel, Brussels, and London. Noted for her use of “awkward grace,” Radella researches being on the edge of control, pushing both physical and psychological balances. Tim Bendernagel is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University where he earned his BFA from the Department of Dance. While at Ohio State, Tim had the pleasure of working with various choreographers, including Bebe Miller, Ann Sofie Clemmensen, Tine Salling, and Lilianna Kane, among others. In his third year, Tim performed in works by Merce Cunningham in Leap Before You Look: Black Mountain College 1933-1957 at the Wexner Center for the Arts. He has attended various intensive programs, including Bates Dance Festival, American Dance Festival, and the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, which have allowed him to work under and learn the repertory of John Jasperse, Lar Lubovitch, William Forsythe, and Ohad Naharin. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Tim has loved returning to the city and pursuing his career as a performing artist. He has been working as a dancer, Community Actionist at Gibney, and a model.

Nick Didkovsky is a guitarist, composer, and music software programmer. He founded the rock band Doctor Nerve in 1983 (www.doctornerve.org), and also is a member of the Fred Frith Guitar Quartet. Other current bands include Vomit Fist and Haessliche Luftmasken. He has composed for Bang On A Can All-Stars, Meridian Arts Ensemble, ETHEL, and others. Anna Pinault grew up in Minnesota and started her dance training with hip-hop and street styles. After taking her first modern dance class at the age of 12, she fell in love and began to explore the world of classical dance. She trained at TU Dance Center throughout high school and moved to New York City as soon as she graduated. Anna trains in many dance styles, including hip-hop, house, dancehall, ballet, Horton, Graham, Taylor, West African, and contemporary. Chris Seibert is an actor, writer, and director who creates original performance works in collaboration with professional and community artists. Molly’s soliloquy consists of eight enormous ’sentences’, The concluding period following the final words of her reverie is one of only two punctuation marks in the chapter, the periods at the end of the fourth and eighth ’sentences’. When written this episode contained the longest ’sentence’ in English literature, 4,391 words expressed by Molly Bloom (it was surpassed in 2001 by Jonathan Coe’s The Rotters’ Club).[2]Sources[edit]
Joyce modelled the character upon his wife, Nora Barnacle; indeed, the day upon which the novel is set — June 16, 1904, now called Bloomsday — is that of their first date. The sun was now further overhead and provided a much appreciated rise in temperature.
The riding became much mere enjoyable once we turned off the highway onto the local roads, which is where you can still find a few bends (which makes riding so much more fun!)

Leon Roulette was born in 1959, and grew up in southern California. Even when he was a child, he had both a great love of the outdoors and a deep interest in painting. He received private art instruction at an early age, and eventually graduated California State University of Long Beach with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Arts. He studied both classical art as well as theories of architecture and design. After graduating college, he soon became an art instructor in southern California. In the 1980’s, he became the art director for a prominent art studio, designing and creating serigraphs for Universal Studios, Warner Brothers and Walt Disney Studios. Today, Roulette primarily works in the great outdoors (Plein Air), capturing nature’s beauty with spontaneity, bold strokes of color and thick applications of paint. His landscapes best express his interest in nature’s play of sunlight on objects. Today, Roulette is a member of the Plein Air Painters of the Northwest where artists are inspired by such greats as 17th century Dutch painter Jacob van Ruysdael and of course, the master of sunlight’s reflection on nature, Claude Monet.

The Chumash Casino Resort will reopen its doors at noon on Wednesday, June 10 with strict safety measures and cleaning procedures in place after being closed for nearly 13 weeks in a statewide effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
“We all understand the reality of the situation. An Asymptomatic person can be out shopping in stores, dining in restaurants, or visiting friends’ homes and exposing others to COVID-19. As we developed a plan for reopening, we listened to the medical experts, we abided by Gov. Gavin Newsom’s phased reopening plan and we made a significant investment in our operation to create a safe environment everyone can enjoy,” said Kenneth Kahn, Chumash Tribal Chairman.
On March 15, the tribe announced the casino would close its doors days ahead of California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s issued statewide stay-at-home order to combat the virus’s spread. Santa Ynez Casino Buffet Atlantic City
The gaming floor will feature reduced seating and more than 1,000 protective barriers have been affixed between slot machines and separating table games dealers and patrons to promote social distancing, while the food court, with fewer tables, and the Grains & Grounds eatery will be open for guests. The food court will be open from noon to midnight, and the coffee shop open 24 hours.
All guests and employees will be required to take temperatures at their WelloStationX™ non-contact temperature screening devices before entering and no one with 100.4 degrees will be allowed to go in. Hand sanitizer stations have been placed on the gaming floor and guests will be encouraged to use them. Their enhanced HVAC system provides 100 percent ventilation with no recirculation. There is also a non-smoking section with its own specific air system.
While walking on the gaming floor everyone is required to wear a mask, however guests that are sitting can remove their masks between partitions. Dealers will be required to wear masks and gloves, and there are limits to four players on most games.
“From temperature checks to enhanced cleaning schedules, to plexiglass barriers between slot machines and separating table games patrons, to requiring guests and employees to wear masks. When we resume operations, we’ll be ready to welcome guests back with safety measures to help protect them while they’re here,” Kahn said.
Until further notice, bingo sessions, the Poker Room, the fine-dining restaurant Willows, The Café, The Buffet and The Spa will be temporarily unavailable.
The Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians’ other properties – Hotel Corque, Hadsten House, Root 246 restaurant and the Kitá Wines tasting room – will remain temporarily closed.
As the Chumash Casino Resort prepares to reopen its doors, it will welcome back employees in the coming weeks. On their return, all employees are receiving training on COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols with more comprehensive training for those who interact frequently with guests.
